This needs to spread fast.
The Carrollton Animal Shelter is giving away FREE black dogs and cats tomorrow. They will also spay and neuter them for free. The shelter is having the adopt-a-thon because so many people have an aversion to adopting black animals (superstition, stereotypes, etc), and the shelter can’t take care of them all.
They profile children up for adoption.
It breaks my heart. I want to adopt them all. Oftentimes the children have developmental or other difficulties and are usually aged 6 and up.
One of the news anchors at the ABC station has been in Dallas for over 20 years, so I basically grew up watching her. She started the segment. I remember seeing it when I was younger and wanting to help the kids.
The adoption rate for children profile on the segment is 70%.
