I had a great 2 hour talk with Alejandra about Mexico and what needs to change for all the craziness to end.

I love talking with people who know Mexico, who are Mexican, it’s nice to not have to explain everything. 

Now we’re watching some telenovela and it’s so ridiculous. It’s set in Chiapas so of course everyone is dressed in stereotypical tropical shirts and modern yet traditional dresses— because everyone in Chiapas walks around like it’s 1869. Then there’s this foreman in a hardhat whose pants are waaaaay too tight.
