So that mom who put her child in school in Norwalk, where the schools were better, while she was homeless, is being forced to take a shitty plea deal and could get FIVE FUCKING YEARS IN PRISON.
Five years in prison for being poor and wanting better for her 5 year old son.

are they giving her the felony? She was going to be a teacher….if the charge her with the felony she can’t teach anymore.
It has to be a felony, misdemeanors by law can only be given a max of 1 year in prison.
Education funding and organization is so horrible. I could rant on this for years and years, but it’s all been said by more intelligent and articulate people than myself. The fact that a mom is going to prison for this shit? It’s a travesty and shows what an empty shell the chants of “education for all!” is.
