I’m mulling over even applying to a certain university. They do not have a full-time faculty member who specializes in Mexican history. Red flag. I can’t graduate with a Ph.D. in Latin American history with a specialization in Mexican history and all the faculty study Panama and Colombia. It doesn’t make sense and it would hurt me.

But the people I met were really nice and the financial aid package was decent enough.

I’ll sleep on it.
